Working as a Professional Pet Sitter

Here at Angel Pet Sitters were are constantly growing, and almost always have a need for more loving, responsible dog walkers and pet sitters. Caring for pets is rewarding and fun! It is still a commitment, though, and comes with immeasurable responsibility. Besides being reliabile and honest, we require our sitters to have a certain level of professionalism. Our clients expect only the best of care for their pets and home, after all!

Some of the requirements to become a pet sitter for Angel Pet Sitters:

• Must be at least 21 years of age, due to the nature of the work.
• A flexible schedule is necessary; Must be available seven days a week, and able to take on last-minute jobs, especially during holidays- this is when we are the most busy!
• You will need another source of income or support, since this job can be very sporadic.
• An eagerness to always learn more about pet care and animal behavior.
• Your own economical, reliable vehicle is required for you to travel to clients' homes.
• Communication: Consistent and swift responses to both emails and texts, from and to clients and our office.
• Internet service is an absolute necessity, both on a smart phone and a computer or laptop.
• Good physical mobility is important as you may deal with large (and sometimes unruly!) dogs.
• Good personal relations skills are necessary for a good relationship with clients.
• Attention to detail is required to provide the best pet and home care.
• Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a willingness to work are imperative.
