Meet the Dog Walkers & Pet Sitters

Leslie Ray, Owner/Mgr

My husband and I moved to Springdale, Arkansas in 1984. We've raised our family here. In 2000, I founded Angel Pet Sitters, to provide Northwest Arkansas with an alternative to boarding for discerning pet owners. I am dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to, and the alleviation of fear, pain and suffering in animals.

I was a professional writer for Pet Sitters International's "Pet Sitters World" magazine, the Little Rock Animal Care reporter for Examiner.com, and publisher/editor-in-chief of NWA's ArkanPaws Magazine from 2008-2009. In 2003 I co-founded For Pets' Sake, an animal welfare organization (serving as VP and board member through 2009). In 2003 and 2011, I volunteered for Springdale Animal Services, building their Petfinder website, taking photos of pets and posting them. I've fostered dogs and cats for area rescues, taken in pets on my own and found them forever homes. I have mentored start-up professional pet sitters across the U.S.

My husband and I have three adult children, as well as two dogs and two cats.

Originally from Little Rock, I came to NWA with my family about 6 years ago from Heber Springs and this is definitely home for us all now! We love it here! As the mom to twin sons (grown now!) we always had and enjoyed a variety of pets. Our extended family pack has, at any given time, 6-7 dogs and 3 cats and when we all get together they usually do too! I look forward to meeting and helping care for your pets!

I have always had pets growing up. Dogs, cats, rabbits and a trained rat, just to name a few. After moving here, I rescued a 10 month old Shar Pei mix puppy with severe hip dysplasia. With diet and exercise, we were able to find him comfort and give him back his independence. Now, 2 yrs later, you would never know he had hip problems. He is running and jumping just as a 2 year old puppy would. I now have 2 dogs and 2 cats with room to expand. Caring for animals is a passion of mine that Angel Pet Sitters has helped me to immerse myself in. All pets need love, and love is what I can give them.

I'm originally from Ireland, but moved to Rogers several years ago with my husband who is a local. I have two rescue cats, a tank full of fish, and a dog adopted from Rogers shelter, as well as three sweet young kids. I love going on long walks with my kids when I'm not pet sitting for clients.

My hobbies are baking, reading (esp historical mysteries and contemporary non-fiction) and anything to do with penguins- I've even been to Antartica and Australia to see them!

I've always been interested in pets and animal welfare. Back in Ireland, I worked as the manager of the Cats Protection Association and volunteered as a dog walker for the DSPCA (Dublin's only animal shelter).

Since coming to the USA, I've been pet sitting in the the Rogers/Bentonvile/Centerton area for Angel Pet Sitters. I have experience with domestic and exotic pets.

I'm originally from northwest Arkansas, but recently returned here from Oregon, where I just completed my Bachelor's degree. Happy to be back home, I'm eager to work with pets again, as I've worked for Angel Pet Sitters in the past. My passion is pets, and I have a dilute calico cat named Isla. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

I love working with animals! In addition to pet sitting with Angel Pet Sitters, I also have my own costume design business and I work part time at a national pet supply store in the area. I have fostered pets for local rescues and have cared for a wide variety of pets, as I grew up with animals in the family.

My costume business is an extension of my love for art and animals. I both design and create intricate animal caricature costumes. I've worn my own costume with Angel Pet Sitters while attending local pet-related events, and I attend national conventions to promote my business when I'm not pet sitting.
