A resident
of Springdale, Arkansas, Leslie Ray founded Angel Pet
Sitters in 2000. Her vision was to provide Northwest
Arkansas with an alternative to boarding kennels for discerning
pet owners.

Because she
has her own family of pets, she has long been concerned
with the ethical treatment of animals. She is dedicated
to the same mission as the ASPCA, which promotes humane
principles, the prevention of cruelty to, and the alleviation
of fear, pain and suffering in animals.

Leslie Ray has been a professional writer and the Little Rock Animal Care reporter for Examiner.com. She wrote informative articles about domestic and exotic pets, new species of animals and animal health. She is the former editor-in-chief of ArkanPaws Magazine, a pets publication that was previously published in Northwest Arkansas.
Accomplishments: Founder of ArkanPaws Magazine, a NWA pet-related magazine; Co-Founder of For Pets Sake, an animal welfare organization (served as vice-president and board member); Co-Sponsored Pet-Palooza, a Fayetteville pet event; and Mentor for startup professional pet sitting companies across the U.S.
Leslie is the proud mom of three children: Hilary, Evan, and Billie Jean; and 3 dogs (Ribbie, Bitsy & Micha), one cat (Kain), and 13 hens (two Buff Orpingtons, two Dominickers, four Ameraucanas, four white leghorns, and one brown leghorn). Two of her dogs are puppy mill rescues, and her kitty was an abandoned stray that wandered onto her property. All of the pets live in harmony on 5.5 acres in Springdale, Arkansas.
